Welcome to SEI Class!
My name is Nanette Bates. I will be your child's teacher for the
2004-2005 school year. This is the 6th year I have taught at Sandoz
School. I previously taught English to students in Iran, Japan, and
Peru. I was also a 2nd grade teacher in Guam which is an American
territory close to the Philippines. My family and I live in Gothenburg.
Besides traveling my hobbies are reading , golfing, swimming, and
playing bridge.
CLASS RULES
1. Listen when the teacher is talking and raise your hand if you need to ask a
question.
2. Walk in the halls and inside our room.
3. Keep hands to ourselves.
4. Be a friend and show respect to everyone at all times.
5. Homework is due Tuesday through Friday mornings.
LIBRARY BOOKS
Each student can check out two books every day from my library as long as
books are returned on a daily basis. Students will also have the
opportunity to check out two books from our school library.
Please keep these separate from my books and do not lose them or your
will have to pay for them.

SPELLING LISTS
Spelling lists will be sent home on Monday and test will be given on
Friday. Please help your child study for these tests. Thank you in
advance.
PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parents will visit with me during the months of October and February.
If you would like to visit my room at any other time please feel free
to stop by. We are located in Room 5 which is in the west wing of
Sandoz School.
