  I teach third grade at Pershing Elementary School.  The students have been busy working on cursive handwriting this year.  Every week we have a weekly spelling test on Friday over fifteen words.  We also take a test over Word Wall Words daily.  Ten words are randomly pick for the children to spell and we graph how many words we get correct.  Our graph shows the students are learning many of the words.
  We are really happy that a retired teacher comes in every Wednesday  to do Science Enrichment Projects.  The units have been inventions, data collecting and graphing, pigs, and mystery powders.  All of the students enjoy Mrs. Shea and have learned skills that they will be able to use in future years.
