Lexington Optimist Club Scholarship
Description
This scholarship fund has been established by the Lexington Optimist
Club with money raised from community projects. These
scholarships will be awarded to any graduating Lexington Senior to help
further his/her education. The amount of these scholarships will
be $1,000. One will be given to be used for tuition at any 4 year
post-secondary accredited school that the recipient chooses. The
second is to be used for tuition at any 2-year technical school or
community college for a student studying a technical trade.
Qualification
Any graduating senior, who shows evidence of Community Involvement,
Service to Youth, Leadership and Character to the School and Community
may apply.
Instructions
Fill out the common application. Three letters of recommendation are
required. One letter of recommendation is to be filled out by a
teacher; two letters of recommendation shall come from any persons
designated by you outside the school, other than a relative.
Limitations
Payment of this scholarship will be made upon completion of one
semester of school and verification of enrollment of second
